ATHLETIC AND EDUCATIONAL

Zac’s academic and athletic journey began in Austin, where he spent his formative years in highly rated academic settings while excelling in numerous sports, with a focus primarily on football.  He was an integral part of Westlake High School’s football seasons contributing to their impressive multi-year runs in the highly competitive Texas 6A Division. His drive and determination were further highlighted during his senior year at Sabino High School in Tucson, Arizona.  Zac played a pivotal role in leading his team to an Arizona State Championship in 2023-2024, earning him a spot on the 1st Team All-Star of Southern Arizona. These experiences on the field taught Zac invaluable lessons about hard work, dedication, and teamwork, all of which he carries into his professional and personal life.

After high school graduation, Zac Binford-Wiggins accepted the invitation to JP Bandits, the longest-tenured Post-Grad football program in the Southeast, competing against NCAA, NJCAA, and post-grad programs across the country. Coinciding with his Fall 2024 semester at JP Bandits,  he is taking classes at the University of South Carolina (Lancaster). Despite the demands of his studies, he remains committed to pursuing his passion for football while surrounding himself with motivated peers who share his drive for success.

In addition to football, Zac is passionate about boating, snowboarding, dirt bike racing, swimming, and strength and conditioning. These activities reflect his adventurous spirit, dedication to physical fitness, and love for the outdoors—qualities that fuel his life goals.

Zac’s professional experience is marked by a strong work ethic.. During the summer of 2024, he served as a Boat Captain for BigTex Boat Rentals in Austin, Texas. In this role, he drove, operated, and managed boat excursions on Lake Austin and Lake Travis. His duties required a boating license, familiarity with the lakes, and a safety certification. Managing multi-passenger pontoon boats, Zac demonstrated exceptional leadership and operational skills ensuring the safety and satisfaction of all passengers.

His previous Lifeguard training with the City of Austin Aquatics afforded him the necessary credentials regarding safety regulation enforcement and vigilant observation of swimmers to prevent heat strokes or other distress, including StarGuard lifeguarding (2023), Basic First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Basic Life Support by the American Safety & Health Institute (2023). His commitment to safety and his proactive approach made him a reliable and trusted member of the Big Tex Team.

Zac’s dedication to philanthropy is a testament to his character and his desire to make a positive impact and to help others. In 2024, he volunteered with Habitat for Humanity in Tucson, Arizona, where he participated in building homes for those in need. His tasks included constructing frames, operating nail guns, applying caulking, digging holes for piping, and painting exterior walls. He also volunteered at BICAS, a non-profit organization focused on fixing and distributing bikes to those without transportation, and at IAMYOU 360, where he organized and distributed donated goods.

His volunteer work extended to the Oro Valley Aquatic Center, where he assisted as a state swim meet worker, and to the Central Austin Youth League, where he restored multiple baseball fields and managed concession stand operations. Additionally, to further insure his ability to assist others in times of emergency situations, he completed FEMA’s Teen Community Response Team training and Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response (2022).
